YOUTH ANGLING CARD ART CONTEST LIMITED EDITION PRINT
Maggie Wang's artwork was chosen from over 100 entries as first place in the 2013 Youth Angling Card Artwork Contest. Ms. Wang is 14 years old and a student at Glenlawn Collegiate in Winnipeg. Her picture will appear on 40,000 youth angling cards that will be distributed for free to Manitoba youth anglers this year. Her first place prize also included $250 in cash, a framed print of her painting, a rod and reel, tackle box and gear. Second place was awarded to Braden Kopytko of Yellowquill School in Portage la Prairie and third place was awarded to Andrew Zazulak of The King's School in Winnipeg.
This print is a true collectible. It is an artist's proof, one of only two in existence, and this is the first time that a print of the youth angling card has been made available. This is the fifth year of the Youth Angling Card Artwork Contest under the leadership of Fish Futures, in partnership with Manitoba Water Stewardship and with the support of the Fisheries Enhancement Fund. Our goal is to showcase young Manitoba artists and promote recreational angling for youth. Value: Priceless
