LYONS LAKE ACCESSIBLE FAMILY FISHING PROJECT 

Fish Futures and Manitoba Conservation partnered to construct trails and docks to create a family fishing spot that is accessible to everyone.  Casting platforms have rails, seats and prep tables to accommodate young and old.  Interpretive materials promote catch and release and teach children and adults about fish and fish habitat.  Given Lyons Lake’s proximity to the Whiteshell Hatchery you can bet it holds a good number of rainbows and some brood stock lunkers.
