    Fish Futures Inc. is dedicated to providing assistance and support to those individuals interested in pursuing aquatic research projects. Since its inception in 1998, Fish Futures each year has awarded two graduate students financial scholarships in Aquatic Biology through the Dr. Ken Stewart Scholarship in Aquatic Biology and Conservation. Scholarship research projects have included:

Michael Johnson - M.Sc. Zoology: The Determination of the Position of the Yellow Perch in the Food Web Using Parasites and Stable Isotopes.
April Kiers - M.Sc. Botany: The Effects of Insecticide Addition and Nutrient Enrichment on the Algal Communities in Delta Marsh, Manitoba.
Maureen Forster - M.Sc. Zoology: Effects of Agricultural Contaminants on Fish and Fish Habitat in the Streams of the Southern Portion of the Manitoba Escarpment.
Douglas Watkinson - M.Sc. Zoology: Identification and Movements of Walleye Stocks in Lake Winnipeg.
Pascal Baidou - M.Sc. Botany: Effects of the Common Carp (Cyprinus carpio) on Water Quality and Algal Community Structure in a Freshwater Coastal Marsh.
Patrick Nelson - M.Sc. Zoology: Organization and Structure of Physical Fish Habitat in Riverine Environments: Lotic Processes and Species Occurrence.
Lee Murray - M.Sc. Zoology: A Re-examination of shortjaw cisco (Coregonus zenithicus) occurrence in Manitoba waters.
Candace Parks - M.Sc. NRI: Experimental manipulation of common carp (Cyprinus carpio) in peripheral ponds of Delta Marsh, Manitoba: Effects on fish and wildlife populations.
Jeff Anderson - M.Sc. Zoology: Tracking fish movements using radio tags on the Assiniboine River.
Tara Bortoluzzi - M.Sc. Botany: A study to determine the amount of primary nutrients (phosphate and nitrate) entering the Delta and Netley-Libau marshes.
Ainsle MacBeth - M.Sc. Botany: A study of algae in Whiteshell Provincial Park lakes.
Susan Hertam - M.Sc. Botany: Effects of carp feeding on water quality in Delta Marsh
Karen Suchy - M.Sc. Botany: Ecological effects of an invasion of lake Winnipeg by exotic species of zooplankton.
Katarzyna Dyszy - M.Sc. Botany: Effects of carp feeding activity and impact on breeding frogs in Delta Marsh
Scott Kolochuck: Study of water quality in farm ponds in the Portage Plains, related to land forms, land use, and water use by humans.
Elaine Shipley: Study of present water quality and changes in water quality in Lake Manitoba over the last fifteen years.
