The Manitoba Fishing Hall of Fame is a not-for-profit organization which recognizes individuals and groups who have made a positive impact on fishing within Manitoba through outstanding achievement, education, conservation and community service. Manitoba has a rich and rooted fishing heritage and is renowned the world over.  The province’s unique geographic diversity is attributed largely in part from a once ancient lake that spanned most of its boundaries.  From the meandering waters of the Red River, to pristine northern lakes, to the backcountry getaways of the eastern shield, to the western parkland regions… Manitoba’s waters are as diverse as the nearly 100 species of fish that call these waters home. For the individuals, groups, lodges and outfitters, retail establishments and institutions who have played a role in promoting the sustainability of fishing in Manitoba, the Manitoba Fishing Hall of Fame celebrates our precious resource and those who participate in its bounty, in striving to preserve it for generations to come.
